The SEENERGY bedside table, where the whole tabletop consists of colored dye-sensitised solar cells (DSSC), uses the properties of color to create an electrical current – a technique based on the process of photosynthesis in plants – making it a piece of furniture that is capable of harvesting energy indoors. The energy is stored using an integrated battery, from which you can then charge your devices through a USB port located in one of the sides of the table and a low-power LED lamp to light your room at night.
